Irrigated rice agriculture is a big source of atmospheric methane (20 times more potent a greenhouse gas than CO2)
Southern Australian Rice crops require approx. 1550 litres of pumped water for just 1kg of rice.
In contrast RAINFED RICE is dryland
To grow well rainfed rice needs:-

Why Bio-Dynamic over Organic?

Bio-dynamic farming is a deeper form of organic farming that works on the fundamental principle that the farm is a living organism. It’s all about balancing the ecological inter- relationship of soil, plants and animals as a self-nourishing system without external inputs.
